Frequently Asked Questions

  1. First, you’ll need to have an account with us. Our services are exclusively available to qualified practitioners who are members of HCP (the Health and Care Professions Council) or recognised professional bodies. Please follow this link to create your account. When you get your application, we will go over your qualifications and update your account accordingly, either approving or rejecting it.
  2. Once your account is approved, you can log in to the dispensary system using your registered email address and password.
  3. After logging in, select your prescription type: either a Dried Herb Prescription or a Granule Prescription.
  4. Once you’ve chosen the type of prescription and accessed the order form page, fill in all required information and provide clear instructions for our dispensary team and your client. Once your formula is complete, click ‘confirm and finish.’
  5. Choose your preferred method of payment to arrange payment for the prescription. We will only process prescriptions once payment has been received.
  6. Any herbal granule orders placed and paid for before 14:00GMT will be processed and shipped out on the same day (this applies to mainland UK territories. For a complete list, click here).

At Phoenix Herbal Dispensary, we are committed to the quality control of our ingredients and to providing excellent customer service. We committed that orders for herbal granules received and paid by 14:00 GMT will be processed and dispatched for next-day delivery (applies to mainland UK territories; for a complete list, click here). Orders received after the cut-off time will be dispatched on the next working day.

However, please keep in mind that dried herbal prescriptions and herbal granule prescriptions require additional processing, such as putting them into sachets or capsules, and need extra time. As a result, these orders may be dispatched on the following working day. Given the high demand for prescriptions, we suggest you submit your prescription as early as possible.

1. Dried Herb Prescriptions

We carefully assemble your prescription order according to your specific indication, and every pack of mixture is individually packed. In our commitment to providing high-quality prescriptions, we take an additional step by packaging the mixture in decoction bags. This allows patients to conveniently boil the entire bag of herbs in a pan without any mess. Our decoction bags are made of non-woven material, ensuring cleanliness and without altering the taste of the formula. Additionally, decoction bags are also available for purchase through our wholesale order portal.

2. Granule Prescriptions

We take pride in offering over 340 varieties of herbal granules, all of which are 100% soluble in hot water. This provides an excellent alternative for patients leading busy lives who prefer not to go through the traditional process of decocting herbs. Our granules are prepared using the traditional decoction method and then processed using our advanced ‘Spray Drying Granulation Method’. This technique ensures a purer end product with higher concentrations.

Among our extensive range of offerings, we provide 72 Paozhi-processed herbal granules tailored precisely to match the patient’s condition. Our herbal granules are free from added gluten; however, some herbs like Fu Xiao Mai (wheat), Mai Ya (malt), and Shen Qu (fermented wheat) naturally contain gluten. It’s essential to discuss any allergies or intolerances with your practitioner before starting an herbal prescription.

Granule prescriptions are available in various forms, including granules, capsules (with 0-size vegan capsules containing 450mg of granules), and tablets (each tablet being 450mg and 10mm in diameter). This flexibility allows individuals to take their prescriptions conveniently according to their preferences.

We advise practitioners and your clients to store the prescription in a dry and cool environment. Avoid direct sunlight and moisture exposure. Once opened, keep it dry and sealed.

It is recommended that prescriptions are consumed within the indicated period or a maximum of 3 months of the dispense date.

Please note: When placing international orders, please ensure the order total is greater than £150 to comply with new customs regulations. Thank you for your co-operation. 

Prescriptions are customised for each individual patient, and thus, we do not accommodate returns or exchanges for these products.

If you’ve made an error while placing a prescription order, please refrain from making payment and contact us immediately to cancel the order. Kindly note that once your order is processed, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Phoenix Herbal Dispensary offer a comprehensive dispensary service which is convenient
